~Chapter 15:
Ms.Hussey was arrested as a suspect in the theft. The school and classroom was buzzing with questions, but no answers. There was clearly a traitor in their midst. Calder and many other kids thought it was Denise.
The next day in the paper Mrs. Sharp & Ms.Hussey's pictures were on the front page, they had both gotten the letter. Ms.Hussey was released. Calder & Petra both thought the painting might have been hidden in Mrs. Sharp’s house, behind dark wood.

~Chapter 16:
In the basement of the school Calder & Petra thought Ms.Hussey could have been hiding the painting. Behind them, leaning against the wall, was a small package wrapped neatly in brown paper. It wasn't as dusty as the others, and was the right size, no doubt about it.

~Chapter 17
Petra spotted an other letter in Mrs. Sharpe’s bush. The hard part of trying solving a centuries old crime was pointing out that the experts were experts.

~CHAPTER 18
Mrs. Sharpe slipped and cracked something in one leg and wanted Petra & Calder to mail a letter. They wanted to open it but they didn't.

This page was questions and answers to Brett Helquist. Here are some of the questions, you read a lot of comic books as a kid. Do you still? I read them sometimes. Who's your favorite painter? Why? My favorite painter is N.C Wyeth. His pictures are full of pirates, cowboys, and knights, all the things I love. His paintings tell great stories, they are full of adventure.

These pages are questions to Blue Balliett. Some of the questions and answers are, What do you do when you are not writing? When I'm not writing, I like to be with my family, take walks in the neighborhood, visit all the book stores, curl up and read ,travel, wander around in museums, and sometimes cook. I've found that ideas come from unpredictable places. Are you skilled at working with pentominoes? Have you gotten a tweleve-piecer? I'm not as skillful at making large rectangles with a set of pentominoes as many of my third-graders are. Yes I’ve gotten a twelve-piecer -after an embarrassing amount of time!

Chasing Vermeer
Chpt.10-14

Chapt. 10: In chapter 10, Calder and Petra call the National Galllery of Art to see if the painting "A Lady Writing" was safe. The painting was traveling and was in Chicago then. There was going to be a show at their local Art Institute and they both knew that "The Lady" would be there.

Chapt. 11: On Nov. 5 at 7:30, Petra read in the paper that " A Lady Writing" had been stolen. When it was unpacked, the case was empty. There was a note that said, "You will come to agree with me." Calder and Petra were very upset.

Chapt. 12: A friend of Calder and Petra, Ms. Sharpe, had invited them over for tea. She was a major Vermeere fan. She was very stern. While drinking tea they expressed their feelings about Vemeere and Charels Fort, ( the writter of Lo!)

Chapt. 13: Ms. Hussey, Calder and Petra's teacher, had been acting strange. She wanted her students to think about what they would have done if the theft wrote them a letter. She putt different choses on the board about what you would do.

Chapt. 14: Calder delivered some books to Ms. Sharpe. Calder and Petra both thought that Ms. Sharpe was the thief. Calder wondered around Ms. Sharpe's house to try to get clues. Later there was a local report that she wanted protection from the police. Calder and Petra knew the Ms. Sharpe was involved
